Chason got a new jumper so he and Grandma were taking it for a test ride. He likes it, and Grandma and him laughed and played for quite a while.

Halibut season is upon us again! We wasted no time getting some fresh fish and spending good quality time together on the boat. Our good friends Kirt, and Roger fished with us, and we had a great relaxing weekend, the first of many to come.

Chason wasn't as impressed with the fish as he was with his Mom, She got the big one for the day,(35lbs), and Dad missed a couple Kings but we got to see them and hear the reels sing, maybe next weekend we can get one in the boat.

Chason found a great spot, tucked out of the way, in the front of the boat. He got rocked to sleep and spent most of the day happily watching his crazy parents and their friends catch fish. He would go fast to sleep once we started the boat to go somewhere else.

Visiting Homer

We went to Homer over the weekend for a visit with friends. Laurie was called to help with the oil spill in the gulf, and we offered to watch the dogs while she was gone. We are so grateful to have them. It is great to have some Setters in the house again. Leiper reminds us so much of Gauge, and Tina is the reason we got to meet Charlie and Laurie.

Little Buddies!

We visited some friends in Soldotna over the weekend. Scott and his son James join James and Chason for a photo. James was born a few weeks after Chason. His mom Carmen and Krista swapped baby stories and the boys planned our big summer outings.

Chason spends some time each night kicking his legs and stretching his arms then its time for a bath and off to bed. He has been giving us quite a few nights of uninterrupted sleep sometimes 9 hours straight, but usually around 7 hours. We are really appreciative for that.

Uncles' Kirt and Roger came over last week for dinner and a photo shoot. Here is a taste of the special memories they captured for us. We are so thankful to have them in our family. Their time, patience, and expertise is greatly appreciated. We couldn't have done it without them. Thanks guys!

Chason slept through the night from 9 till 5 both Krista and I woke up in disbelief. Hopefully he will keep that habit. He woke up happy and bright eyed drank his bottle and visited we me for quite a while before passing back out.

Chason enjoyed the show and got a lot of attention. Krista packed him around and we got to see some old friends and by some new gear.

Monday was Chason's first day at Day Care.  He handled it better than we did.

Preparing for fishing season

Chason helped Mom & Dad get the boat ready this year.  James tore up the floor boards & removed about 200 pounds of water-soaked foam.  He is going to replace it & tear out the carpet so we can Rino-line the interior.  The boat will be "Decked Out" Alaskan style this year!  Chason can't wait for his first boat ride!
